Non-inclusive Growth Among Rural Households in Nigeria: A Micro Level Analysis of Income Growth and Equitable Distribution of Resources

This study assessed Non-Inclusive Growth among rural households in Nigeria. Secondary data from General Household Survey (GHS) of 2010/2011, 2012/2013 and 2015/2016 were used. The GHS is a panel consisting 5,000 Households) which 3,347 Data obtained on socio-economic characteristics, living condition characteristics geopolitical zones. Poverty gaps estimated matched to the economic growth rate categorise into non-inclusive growth. analysed using descriptive statistics, Foster-Greer-Thorbecke (FGT) Probit model. mean age 41.8±9.4, 43.7±9.4, 46.9±9.4 years, while household sizes 8.0±2.0, 7.3±3.1 7.5±1.8 for respectively. Majority male, 65.0%, 65.4% 65.5%, 64.3%, 63.1% 63.4% married 2015/2016, with no formal education (45.3%) was higher than 2010/2011 (43.3%) (40.2%). without access health facilities, energy, potable water employment periods 2010–2013, 2013–2016 2010–2016. results show that households, size, education, water, credit, North East zone, West South zone influenced households.
